Shop Update for February 20th

It feels like Spring! So this week's shop update is completely twitterpated. It's all about flowering, fruiting and growing green things.

This week, I'm introducing a new line to the shop: Kawaii Project Bags!

These drawstring bags are the absolute perfect size to tote small knitting projects. I used my prototype to tote around my Laminaria. And when I finished that, I put a pair of socks in it.

I have two available. Each is sewn from rustic, sturdy cotton, hand-appliqued and embellished with Sashiko embroidery. Approximately 10" x 6" x 1.5"

Jardin. Un p'tit oiseau perches in a little tree on one side of the bag.

A blooming garden grows on the other side.

la Poire et la Pomme. Fruity treats make this bag truly sweet!

A delicious green pear!

A sweet red apple!

This week, I also have four colors of BonBon Bamboo. Three are new, and one is a repeat from last week. I'mĀ  really loving how BonBon takes gray -- the shiny-shimmeriness of the bamboo makes the grays look like silver and pewter, so that silver is a definite theme running through this week's colors.

Sakura barely made it into the shop before Beth (and, *ahem*, I) snapped it up, so I dyed up two moreskeins.

Robin's Egg. Really more like the constituent colors of a robin's egg, reminiscent of Impressionist or Pointillist paintingĀ  -- blues and greens and silvers come together and resolve into a robin's egg blue, but from a distance.

Silver Sage. Silvers and gray-greens, accented with a sort-of piney-fresh green.

Damson. Deep plum and purple, accented with silver and deep blues.

In other knitting news, the Laminaria is finished and is soaking now. I'll block her tonight and hopefully get to show her off tomorrow!

Did that Silver Sage get snapped up already?

Damn.
